Wool pads by pad diameter
Wool pads by pad diameter: pad sizes match the contact area to the shape of the panel. The outer diameter of the pad sets the working face; the backing plate size that goes with it and the machine approval are separate things to check.
Pad diameter, backing plate and polish all have to work together before the combination goes anywhere near the paint.
